  • Problems with 0.4.2 --> 0.5.0 upgrade
    Posted under General by flea on Monday February 05 2001 @ 09:09AM EST

    I think that could be a problem while updating from phpweblog 0.4.2 to 0.5.0 ( others maybe )!!
    While doing the database updates mysql -u USER -p DATABASE

    i've been reading your sql file! SO you drop the old one and then you create a new one!! Isn't that a bit weird!! SO if I need to keep my old links how do I do it?

    Actually, I'm not exactly sure yet. A suppose a script will have to be written to make this conversion since links and the link categories are in two different tables now.

    So that sucks. That's where my links went!! And of course I don't have a backup. DohH!!!

    Yeap!! i've made backups !! So there was no danger! And i've undestood that the tables where independe so you cant do the change directly!!

    But i think that this should need a script anyway!!

    :)))
