Along the same lines, I'm also thinking about using Calcium as my calendar. I'd like to get it to run as a Page, also.

I'm using tForum and would also like to embed it into a page. Is there a trick to running apps as pages without heavily modifying the app?

I'd like to embed Phorum myself.

Heh, how helpful. If people wanted PHP-Nuke, they'd get PHP-Nuke. But they don't, probably because it's a piece of crap. They want to integrate their forums with their copy of phpWebLog.

I have no idea how to do this; i'm not using phpWebLog .. instead i'm using my own home-made portal for ease of customization. Anyways, check out the header files and stuff, and use those as headers for whatever forum you're using. It shouldn't be too hard.

    PHPNuke a Piece of crap?

you really don't know what you say... poor man.
if you like phpweblog, good! but stay far as you can from project you don't like. I don't care what you think about nuke, just see the HUGE community it has, lol. Lokk at the version 5 betas and then shut up.

no harm was intended with my comment.

its was meant to spread knowledge of an alternative choice. why would you think this bad? isn't that part of the game?

It's possible by using the headers/footers from phpWebLog in your app. Once Mocha released his code for 0.6, I hope make an interface for easily porting in new apps, such as phorum, phpLinks, etc. with little to no hacking.

I managed to integrate Phorum into phpweblog 0.3.x... was pretty easy :)

Why not share the info then?

In the it's not really a challenge ....
For a basic integration of "phorumphorum-3.2.11" in phpWebLog, change the content of "/phorum/include/header.html" by these lines :

    and change "/phorum/include/header.html" with :

    That's all :)

Kind of a pain, but only took about 15 minutes. I just used 2 include statements in EVERY single VBULLETIN .php page.

I see a lot of other forums have been integrated, but what about phpBB? I am a php newbie so I am running into some issues trying to the integration myself. Thanks for the help.

Just thought I'd share (for the anonymous) that lots of people who are familiar with nuke think it sucks (did I mention closed source?)... Weee that's why I use phpweblog.
