    Bandwidth problems? views: 227
    By Simon (---.server.ntl.com) on Friday June 01 2001 @ 05:30AM EDT [ General ]
    Hi,

I have recently installed PHPWeblog which is excellent for making my site look good and easy to maintain. I currently get 600 visitors per day and around 2500-3000 page views per day.

Due to the large size of the files PHPWeblog creates (>30KB not including graphics or Javascripts) I am close to my bandwidth of 100MB per day. Is there any way to reduce the file sizes that PHPWeblog creates? Does anyone else find these files too large?

    Thanks

    Simon

    I dont't think 30k is very big.

If you look at the generated code, you will see there is almost no overhead, only pretty clean and lean HTML.

If you want the page to be smaller, display fewer and shorter articles and less boxes.
