Just curious when the next release for 0.5.3 will be available. I'm waiting to begin setting up my new site until this release is available...thanks for the great software.

There have been so many changes since 0.5.2, that the next release may well be 0.6.0.

Everything is ready to go, except for an issue in parser.inc.php, and the multiple installation feature which was started today. Other than that, an upgrade script needs to be written to upgrade existing 0.5.2 users, then it will be ready.

It's hard to estimate a time, but I'd say maybe a week (?)

If there are that many changes, I'll stop press on pwlShop 'til the new version is out.

The Multiple installations will be kindly received here in germany, because most cheap hosters here allow only one database...

Maybe changes is the wrong word. There have been mostly new features added, as well as the rewriting of exisiting areas. The blocks abstraction is the most considerable change. Nothing should interfere with any Addon development however.

The thing about the multiple sites under one installation, I have it currently (though not functional completely) where you can run multiple phpWebLog websites under one file installation using multiple databases. I had not taken into consideration the idea of being limited to just one database.

Jason, you know in the site config where you specify a name for the cookies? Any way to take that value and prepend it to the table names? That way you could have multiple sites running on one db (site1_T_Stories, site2_T_Stories, etc). You'd just have to edit the sql that creates the tables so that things matched.

The ISP I'm with limits an account to one mySQL db, but tables (and I believe file size) is u/l.

I think the easiest would be to add a field "site" to each table that has the name of the cookie (or such) for the site this item belongs to. Adding "AND site='personalsite'" to the queries is just a thing of search & replace.

Is one of the changes the use of Users? And is there a possiblity of intergration of it with a Forum like phpBB?
