  • Creating my own template - General
    Posted by BahbDohl (Sunday November 04 2001 @ 02:29PM EST) views: 165
Umm... I'm pretty sure that this is a dumb question, but how do I create my own template? I see files like block.tmpl, header.tmpl, and so on, but I have no idea what each one means. Well, I have a basic idea of header, but the rest means nothing to me. Can someone please help. I want it all to look like my current site: http://www.bahbdohl.f2s.com/index2.shtml

If you look in backend/template/ directory, you'll see all the available template files, just copy one
    (or create a new directory).

Look at the NOTES file for variable references, and just stick the variables where you want them in your template HTML.

Header / footer are pretty self explainatory. Story / Summary should be too. Block is one of those
"blocks" you see on the side columns. Main is where everything else goes.
