  • Moving phpweblog 0.5.3 to a new box
Posted under General by Weeve on Sunday February 10 2002 @ 12:19AM EST
Hey everyone. I'm attempting to move my phpweblog setup from one box to another. I've run into a slight problem though. SQL seems to have imported ok and the files and layout made it just fine. However all of the text boxes on the left (admin, options, top 5 stories, etc) no longer show up. Has anyone seen this or have any suggestions?

    Thanks,
    Weeve

I had the same problem... All the boxes on the left wouldn't show up. This happened after I changed the directory from "phpweblog" to another name.. and then edited the common.inc file to reflect the change in paths.

Believe it or not after I made a backup (cp -r new_path new_path-backup) it somehow started showing the left boxes again.

I dont think I did anything else

    Weeve,

I assume you have checked in the Blocks Manager to see if they are set to display on the left not "off" - sometimes MySQL does strange things during a shift.

P.S. I just tried to replicate this and it was fine. Hmmmm.
