  • Password troubleshooting steps? - General

Hi. It seems my weblog has unfortunately decided to ‘forget’ both my setup and admin passwords, after a few days of usage. It’s also lost my own user password; all three don’t work, and I’m sure there aren’t any other users as of yet. I’m sure I have remembered my password right (I wrote it down, tsk, tsk) and I’m suspecting the password list got fried. According to me re-running the setup script, it appears to be connecting to the database. I’m relatively new to MySQL and PHP, if that helps. Any ideas people would have would be appreciated. (I have a funny feeling it’s something small I’ve missed!) Thanks!

Edit table t_users in your weblog database. Find the row containing your admin user. Edit that row & set the password field to 5f4dcc3b5aa765d61d8327deb882cf99
This should reset the password to password. Then login & change the password. If you have no utils to edit your database, go to http://phpwizard.net/projects/phpMyAdmin/.
