    Hi,
I had phpweblog (.pre6) running very well when I installed and tested it.
Then I opened the page to the public and probably some people came - and suddenly it took minutes for the sites to load.

And no, it's no freehosting but my own server and he said that the cpu was only lightly loaded.

So I would like to know "what can it be???"

Hmm, I was just trying again, and now it's o.k. - anyhow, how are other experiences with loadingtime and what can be done for optimation?
    greetings,
    andreas

Assuming that it's not network load, there are definately some sql optimizations that could be done.

I had been developing it on my local machine as the server, and load times were never an issue.

I just noticed that your site is pulling quite a few images from outside hosts as well. If one of those images are slow, the whole page will load slow since its all wrapped in a table.

Sorry for answering in german ...
